Finnish study results: e-cigarettes can quit smoking

As a smoking cessation aid, the use of e-cigarettes has the same effect as nalenicline, which is the most suitable and most commonly used smoking cessation drug. After an international study coordinated by Peking University, a new confirmation comes from Northern Europe, and it comes from Finland. Anna Tuisku of the Lapland Central Hospital in Rovaniemi and Mikko Rahkola and Pentti Nieminen of the University of Oulu are the authors of a randomized clinical study entitled "e-cigarette versus Varenicline for adult smoking cessation." The study involved 458 adults with nicotine addiction. Moderate to severe and want to quit smoking. "This randomized clinical trial," the authors wrote in explaining their findings, "found that varenicline and nicotine-containing e-cigarettes were both effective in helping subjects quit conventional cigarettes for up to six months."
